Frequently Asked Questions
Is travel included?
Travel to locations within 2.5 hours radius of St. Joseph County Michigan are included in all packages. Travel outside of the radius will be quoted per location. Engagement sessions take place in Southwest Michigan area.
Do I need a second photographer?
Not necessarily. Most wedding days can be beautifully documented by one experienced photographer.
For larger celebrations, complex timelines, or couples wanting additional perspectives throughout the day, a second photographer can be a valuable addition. We'll happily help you decide whether one makes sense for your wedding.
How will you handle my family formals?
Family formals can be the most stressful time during your wedding if not prepared for! Prior to your wedding day we will request a list of variations (Example: 1. Bride, Groom, Cindy, and Bill. 2. Bride, Groom, Cindy, Bill, and Linda.).
Before beginning formals, we will encourage family and friends to remove all items out of their pockets, sunglasses, and purses for clean, organized photos.
During family portraits, we will read off the list to ensure all portraits are captured in a timely fashion.
Do you offer any discounts?
We know weddings are expensive!
We offer two discounts:
- Pay in full at booking and receive a 10% discount.
- Pay in cash. A discount will be added for all cash payments. We will meet with you to collect payment within 1 hour of Leonidas, MI.
How much direction do you give during the wedding day?
As much as the moment calls for.
We'll offer confident direction and intentional posing through prompting when creating portraits, then step back when moments deserve to unfold naturally.
The result is a gallery filled with beautifully composed imagery, genuine emotion, and everything that happened in between.
What kind of experience do you have?
We've spent nine years photographing and filming weddings throughout Michigan, Chicago, and beyond. Our experience spans intimate celebrations, large-scale weddings, religious and multicultural ceremonies, digital and film photography, and full wedding filmmaking.
When will we receive the full gallery?
4-8 weeks after your wedding day.
Do you offer sneak previews?
Yes! 2-3 days after your wedding day!
When should I book my package?
Our availability is first come, first serve. We receive multiple inquiries a week & take on a limited amount of weddings per season. Most couples book their photographer 9-12 months in advance of their wedding day.
Can I upgrade my package?
You can absolutely upgrade your package prior to wedding day. All upgrades must be completed 90 days in advance of the wedding. Upgrades are subject to current pricing and based on availability of services.

Our Posing Style
Wedding days are endlessly filled with moments. Moments of joy, laughter, hugs, kisses, and everything in between. We know that you are most likely not a photography model and offer the perfect amount of direction (that fits you best!). Our posing style is described as a 50/50 mix of prompted posing and candid captures. We like to fix the small details like smoothing your dress and veil, fixing your jewelry when needed, straightening your tie.. and give direction when it comes to bridal party formals and family formals (We'll fix the awkward looking arms and legs, we promise!!)

It feels like every choice of wedding vendor is an important one but the argument that photography is the most important is valid - not only do you spend your the majority of your wedding day alongside your photographers, but you also rely on their work to re-live your big day for the rest of your life. We could not have chosen better people or artists to work with for our wedding than Michelle and Michael Terry and we are absolutely thrilled with the choice we made!! From the moment we encountered their work online we were drawn to their style which is a wonderful mix of posed romantic elegance and docurealistic candids. Then, after meeting with Michelle to go over pricing and packages we immediately fell in love with her midwest kindness and genuine personality. We planned our Chicago wedding from out of state where we live, and the Terrys had never photographed at our venue the Stan Mansion before - however, we trusted the good reviews and booked them to travel from MI for our big weekend. Incredible call by us! Michelle and Michael covered our welcome party as well as 10 hours of our wedding day and upon meeting them it was like more of our friends or cousins had just arrived.
