Our Posing Style

Wedding days are endlessly filled with moments. Moments of joy, laughter, hugs, kisses, and everything in between. We know that you are most likely not a photography model and offer the perfect amount of direction (that fits you best!). Our posing style is described as a 50/50 mix of prompted posing and candid captures. We like to fix the small details like smoothing your dress and veil, fixing your jewelry when needed, straightening your tie.. and give direction when it comes to bridal party formals and family formals (We'll fix the awkward looking arms and legs, we promise!!)

We cannot say enough amazing things about Michelle and Michael! I’m a big “picture girl” and had lots of extra requests for photos, and they never once made me feel rushed or like we didn’t have time to get everything in. They handled it all with so much patience and ease while keeping us on a great timeline and making sure the whole day ran smoothly.

They captured every candid moment beautifully and made the whole process fun and stress-free. Their energy is so natural and laid-back, which made everyone comfortable in front of the camera. On top of that, we had sneak peeks waiting for us the very next morning—which was SO exciting to relive the day so soon after it ended.

We absolutely love their style, their vibes, and the way they went above and beyond for us. If you’re looking for a photography/videography team that is both incredibly talented and genuinely wonderful to be around, Michelle and Michael are it!

It feels like every choice of wedding vendor is an important one but the argument that photography is the most important is valid - not only do you spend your the majority of your wedding day alongside your photographers, but you also rely on their work to re-live your big day for the rest of your life. We could not have chosen better people or artists to work with for our wedding than Michelle and Michael Terry and we are absolutely thrilled with the choice we made!! From the moment we encountered their work online we were drawn to their style which is a wonderful mix of posed romantic elegance and docurealistic candids. The strength of their love for each other shines through in the images they capture for other couples and families so strongly. Then, after meeting with Michelle to go over pricing and packages we immediately fell in love with her midwest kindness and genuine personality. We planned our Chicago wedding from out of state where we live, and the Terrys had never photographed at our venue the Stan Mansion before - however, we trusted the good reviews and booked them to travel from MI for our big weekend. Incredible call by us! Michelle and Michael covered our welcome party as well as 10 hours of our wedding day and upon meeting them it was like more of our friends or cousins had just arrived. A remarkable team, they had the very best non-chaotic energy and posed and encouraged us without being cheesy or “fake.” Between Michael’s funny prompts and Michelle’s kind gaze behind her lens we, our families, and our wedding party felt like a million bucks. They collaborated seamlessly with our other vendors they had never worked with before and everyone asked us - where did you find them?! Their coverage of our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception was ever-present yet unobstrisuve and their smiling faces inspired confidence all night. And we know this confidence was well-founded because we recieved an ENORMOUS sneak peek gallery of photos we love before we even left for our honeymoon days later! Michelle and Michael - thank you for feeling the love in the room on our favorite day in history, adding to it, and capturing it so well. We can’t wait to have you photograph our family for years to come - what an incredible joy! Book them - you will not regret it!
