Bay Pointe Woods Wedding
Shelbyville, Michigan | Rylee & Kyle
Nestled just minutes from the shores of beautiful Gun Lake, Bay Pointe Woods provided the perfect backdrop for Rylee and Kyle's charming late summer wedding in Shelbyville, Michigan. With warm September sunshine, elegant details, and so much genuine joy, their wedding day was the perfect blend of timeless romance and relaxed celebration.
I first connected with Rylee and Kyle after they reached out in 2024, and from our very first conversation, I knew their wedding would be something special. They envisioned a day that felt effortless, intentional, and centered around the people they love most—and that's exactly what they created.
One of the things I admired most about Rylee and Kyle was how intentionally they planned their wedding around family. Instead of filling every moment with activities or a packed timeline, they created space to simply be present. Whether it was sharing quiet conversations with grandparents, celebrating alongside lifelong friends, or embracing family members they don't get to see often, every part of the day reflected what mattered most to them. It was a beautiful reminder that while flowers eventually fade and the cake gets eaten, the moments spent with the people you love become the memories you'll treasure forever.
One of my favorite parts of working with these two was getting to photograph not one, but two engagement sessions. We captured the beauty of both a Michigan summer and the vibrant colors of fall, giving them a collection of memories that reflected two of the state's most beautiful seasons. By the time their wedding day arrived, we felt more like friends than photographer and clients, making every portrait and candid moment feel effortless and natural.
As the afternoon unfolded beneath the towering trees at Bay Pointe Woods, there was a calmness to the day that perfectly matched Rylee and Kyle's personalities. They weren't rushing from one event to the next—they were soaking it all in. They laughed with their bridal party, hugged family a little longer, and truly experienced every moment together. Those are the kinds of weddings I love documenting because the photographs become so much more than beautiful images—they become reminders of how the day actually felt.
One of my favorite moments of the evening was watching the celebration unfold on the dance floor. Surrounded by the people who mean the most to them, Rylee and Kyle danced, laughed, and celebrated the beginning of their marriage exactly the way they had envisioned: together, present, and completely immersed in the joy of the day.
If you're planning a Bay Pointe Woods wedding or searching for a Michigan wedding photographer who values genuine connection, timeless imagery, and helping you feel completely at ease, I'd love to hear more about your story. My goal is always to create photographs that not only capture how your wedding looked, but preserve how it felt—so that years from now, you can relive every hug, every laugh, and every meaningful moment with the people you love most.
